EAST PROVIDENCE, RI (March 7, 2017) — Every day librarians receive questions about whether information is credible or false. Join East Providence Public Library’s Digital Service Librarian Catherine Damiani for a tech lecture on identifying and avoiding fake news in today’s digital age on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 6:30pm.?? Catherine will cover tips and techniques that librarians use to evaluate information as well as show you how to become an expert fact checker.
Ms. Damiani earned her Master???s Degree in Library and Information Studies from URI in 2015.?? Honored as a 2016 American Library Association Emerging Leader, Catherine has led workshops at national meetings along with a full time schedule of tech lectures and classes at the East Providence Public Library.
