24 Hours of InspiringProgrammingWOMR/WFMR offers round-the-clock music and spoken-word programming by its women DJs in celebration of International Women???s Day, March 8, 2017??

PROVINCETOWN, MA. (March 3rd, 2017)???Cape Cod???s community radio station, WOMR/WFMR, today announced programming for International Women???s Day, celebrated on Wednesday, March 8th. The radio station has once again reserved 24 hours of round-the-clock music and spoken-word programming, all of it planned, created, and hosted by women.

International Women???s Day celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievement of women. Organizations, governments, charities, educational institutions, women’s groups, corporations, and the media celebrate the day worldwide. It???s a National holiday in Russia and the Ukraine.

WOMR is now in its 22nd year of participating in the celebration. ???It???s gives me a feeling of camaraderie, working alongside all of the women who are participating this year???, says Dinah Mellin, who along with Pandora Peoples, and Sandra Hemeon-McMahon ??have been organizing this year???s colorful lineup.
