Martin Short comes to Twin River!
Friday night, March 10, at 8 pm, Twin River Casino Event Center, 100 Twin River Road, Lincoln, RI presents the lovable actor and comic Martin Short in an exclusive appearance!
Mr. Short, the Canadian born celebrated comedian and actor, has won fans and accolades in television, film and theater since his breakout season on ???Saturday Night Live??? over 30 years ago. Mr. Short has won two Primetime Emmy???s and a Tony among other accolades. His popularity and exposure on ???SNL??? led Short to cross over quickly into feature films. He became an ???SNL??? fan-favorite for his portrayal of characters such as Ed Grimley, lawyer Nathan Thurm and ???legendary songwriter??? Irving Cohen. Martin made a splash in films with his debut in ???Three Amigos??? followed up by ???Innerspace,??? ???Three Fugitives,??? ???Clifford,??? ???Pure Luck??? and ???Tim Burton???s Mars Attacks.?????

Romantic fantasies at historic homesite
Sunday, March 13, the historic Hearthside House, 677 Great Road, (Route 123) Lincoln, RI starts its 2017 tour season with Sleeping Beauty: Aurora???s 16th Birthday.
See performers from Heritage Ballet???s Sleeping Beauty cast as they interpret this romantic fairy tale. On her 16th birthday, Aurora goes into a deep sleep after pricking her finger on a spinning wheel spindle and is awakened by a prince a hundred years later. Come meet Princess Aurora and the different characters from the ballet story of this class tale from 1890, as they are stationed throughout the house.
Hearthside House itself has a uniquely romantic story behind its construction. It was built in 1810 by Stephen Hopkins Smith from lottery winnings to impress a sweetheart, hence the site???s nickname of ???the house that love built.???

Perspectives of Holocaust survivors
Over the next few weeks get a local perspective of one of the world???s most infamous human tragedies, the Holocaust that occurred during World War II in Europe.
Now through April 30, the Blackstone Valley Visitor Center Gallery, 175 Main Street, Pawtucket, RI offers a photographic exhibit of Remembrance: Art as Memory Keeper.
This is a compelling art display presenting the works of local photographer Jonathan Sharlin, on Rhode Island survivors of the Holocaust during World War II in Europe. The exhibit is FREE to the public and open during Visitor Center hours, daily 10 am-4 pm.
