KINDERGARTEN READINESS
Join us on Wednesday March 8, 2017 from 1:00 PM-2:30 PM in the Community Room for Kindergarten Readiness. This five-session playgroup will be run by two Parent Support Educational Specialists from Self Help Inc.’s CFCE, Gina McGarrigle and Marsha Wright, and will be offered to parents and children who will be entering kindergarten in the fall of 2017. We will focus on??activities that promote kindergarten readiness skills in a fun and playful learning environment.
Online registration is required.

Do you enjoy thought-provoking books, learning about history and current events, and lively discussion??? The Men???s Book Group is for you!?? They meet the first Monday of the month.?? This month will be on Monday March 6, 2017 at 6:30 PM in the Conference room and the selection is Black Flags: the Rise of Isis by Joby Warrick.?? Request the book through our online library catalog.
CELTIC CHOCOLATE PROGRAM
Join us on Thursday March 9, 2017 at 10:30 AM in the Community Room for a St. Patrick’s Day Celtic Chocolate Program with Klassic Kreations.
Join us for a fun, educational program highlighting the history of St. Patrick???s Day and the Irish foods that have become a well known part of Irish culture with licensed chocolatier and teacher Kim Larkin of Klassic Kreations. We begin by telling the history of chocolate and how the Irish chocolate pioneer??
John Hannon partnered with the famous Dr. James Baker, a Dorchester native son, to establish a Massachusetts chocolate company.??
They were key players in North America???s entry into the chocolate industry.
The program is infused with entertaining Irish lore, Claddagh and Galway history, lovely Irish poetry and visual displays of Celtic designs and their meaning. The food portion of the program includes the pairings of imported??Dubliner tea, Irish Breads, and beautiful, molded Celtic chocolates with Claddagh and Celtic knot designs.
Please note this program is for adults and is limited to 45 participants, first come first served.
