Community Talent Show to feature local talent for the community by the community
Attleboro, Massachusetts -on The local nonprofit organization On Common Ground is changing the format of their annual People for People fundraiser from a comedy show to a community talent show.??
On Common Ground hopes to bring the community together for a night of performing arts and fun in order to raise funds for their Mentor Center Program which is critical??to helping individuals struggling within the community.??
Attleboro’s own rockstar George Leonard will act as host with Attleboro High School senior and comedian Ally Beard will headline. Beard has been recognized recently for her freelance writing contributions to NBC’s Saturday Night Live. Cait and the Best Buds along with Attleboro’s School of Rock instructor Michael Bazzinotti are scheduled to appear as well as others.
People for People will also host a live auction conducted by veteran auctioneer Rick Conti, with amazing items like an autographed football from Patriots Linebacker Rob Ninkovich.??
The affordable $40 ticket includes dinner, the show, the live auction, access to the silent auction, and 50/50 raffle along with a free entry to the door prize.??The event will occur on Friday, February 24, 2017 6-10pm at the Bristol Lodge in North Attleboro at 46 S. The mission of On Common Ground is to improve the lives of individuals who are experiencing economic, social and/or familial poverty in the Attleboro Area. They do so by fostering and encouraging the active involvement of the local community in 1:1 relationships.
