AUDITIONS
Attleboro Community Theatre is pleased to update and announce open auditions for the final show of ACT???s 60th??season. ???Boys Next Door??? will be directed by Kelli Tallman and auditions will take place on February??15th??and 16th??from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Cardi???s Furniture store located in South Attleboro. Please take the elevator to the in the 3rd floor and enter the conference room. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Attending both nights is not required, but highly recommended. The director has also suggested reading the script previously to be fully prepared.
ACT is looking for 9 cast members total for 9 performances. The Director is looking for 7 Males and 2 Females age ranging from early 20s to late 50s.
About the show:
???The Boys Next Door??? by Tom Griffin is a well-loved staple in community theatre, bringing to life the antics and personalities of 4 men with developmental disabilities who live in a group home. Each of the lovable men has their own quirky, engaging personalities that are played out on stage. We learn about what makes each of them unique and how challenging it can be living and working with the disabled population. Each character is cared Jack, a social worker employed as their primary caretaker. Jack is divorced, exhausted, and thinking about making a change in his life. He is struggling with whether to take a different job, and what his choice will mean for the men who depend on him.
Show Dates??Include: May 5-7, 12-14, 19-21
*All actors must be able to perform in all 9 shows and be available for Tech week leading to opening night.??
