Please join us this year as we have invited??Historian, Illustrator & Author, Joel Christian Gill.
Mr. Gill is the Chair of Foundations and Faculty at the New Hampshire Institute of Art as well as CEO of Strange Fruit Comics.
He will be presenting on our theme this year, “Crafting the Dream ~ Living the Legacy”. Mr Gill’s presentation will be followed by a community potluck meal.
After our meal there will be local talented artists and community organizations who will provide a variety of artistic mediums to express your feelings and thoughts about Crafting the Dream: Living the Legacy.????
The Literacy Center of Attleboro has agreed to contribute to the event with a “I have a dream” themed community quilt. Members of the community will be able to craft the dream on quilting squares.
As you may remember, the event is co-hosted by The Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. Greater Attleboro Committee and On Common Ground.??
On Common Ground is pleased to co-host this event in celebration of National Mentoring Month. We would love for everyone who attends to find out more about how they can live the legacy by mentoring a fellow community member who is experiencing poverty, crafting the dream of Dr. King for all people.??
