WOMR/WFMR Announces Election of New Board Members

New members join board of Cape Cod???s only community radio station????

Provincetown, MA, January 9, 2017: Three new members have been elected to serve on WOMR/WFMR???s board of directors, the community radio station announced today. They replace three board members required to step down for a year due to term limit considerations, and began their service in December of 2016.??

Incoming new board members include Marcy Feller, a retired lawyer from Provincetown; Dave Wilber, a development professional from Chatham; and John Nelson, a retired minister from Provincetown.????

Two board members were re-elected: board president Ira Wood, writer and former selectman from Wellfleet, and Susan Lindquist, retired former executive director of the Cape Cod Natural Museum, who lives in Brewster.

Outgoing board members are Mary Lyttle, real estate agent and former restauranteur, from Orleans, Ed McManus former selectman from Harwich and Vernon Diannah Porter, life coach and radio personality, from Provincetown.

???I???m really excited about the energy that???s coming from the board of directors,??? says John Braden, WOMR???s executive director. ???The community radio station has a number of challenges ahead like putting into effect our brand new strategic plan and enhancing our visibility. Outgoing board members were formally thanked at the station???s annual meeting in November when new members were elected.??
