On New Year???s Day, Sunday, January 1, at 2 pm, attend the Mixed Magic Theatre 17th Annual A Kwanzaa Song, happening at the theater, located at 560 Mineral Spring Avenue, Pawtucket, RI.
Produced by Ricardo Pitts-Wiley, this cultural presentation offers African and gospel music to tell the story of Azu, an African spirit, who must go to the new world with the stolen children of Africa and safeguard the family, community and culture ??? the essence of Kwanzaa ??? until they find freedom again. The show will highlight the Kwanzaa Karamu Feast and a candle lighting ceremony.
