WRENTHAM NOVEMBER 12
??Two great Boston-area bands will be performing on Saturday, November 12, 7:30 p.m. at the Original Congregational Church in the center of Wrentham. The Rockabilly music of Brehon and the V8???s is the perfect prelude to The Elastic Five, who will be performing the original artists??? arrangements of rock, pop, and folk songs of the 1950???s through the 1990???s.
??The music of The Elastic Five ranges from American rock and roll pioneers of the 1950???s like Buddy Holly and Chuck Berry, to 60???s bands of the British invasion, to the pop and rock bands of the 70???s, 80???s and 90???s. Members of the band are David Cross, lead singer and guitarist; Mike Cunningham of Providence, bassist and vocalist; Glen Macafee from Norwood, lead guitarist and vocalist; Rick Rampino, drummer/percussionist; and Scott Tooker of Wrentham, keyboardist, guitarist and vocalist.
??Brehon and His V8???s plays 50???s Rock & Roll and Rockabilly, with music of Elvis, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Gene Vincent, Carl Perkins, Chuck Berry, and others. The band consists of Brehon Herlihy, lead singer from Middleboro; Bill Coover, guitarist from Milton, one of the founders of the famous Memphis Rockabilly Band from Boston; Jim Sequin, bass player and singer from Mansfield; Lou Rampino, guitarist from Canton; and Dennis Silvia, raised in Wrentham but now of Rhode Island.
