GE Digital’s New Rhode Island Employees
PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Governor Gina M. Raimondo??welcomed GE Digital’s new Rhode Island employees at their temporary office space in Providence, as part of her focus on growing Rhode Island’s advanced manufacturing and innovation economy.??
Raimondo welcomed seven of the new employees at GE Digital, joined by GE Digital Chief Technology Officer, Digital Workplace Technology Jeff Monaco,??Department of Labor and Training Director Scott Jensen, Commerce Secretary Stefan Pryor and TechHire Rhode Island Director Damian Ewens.
Businesses are taking a fresh look at Rhode Island because of the state’s investments in education and workforce training. In June, GE Digital announced the opening of a new information technology center in Providence.
The office is responsible for developing new software applications and driving innovation in High Performance Computing. GE Digital is planning to bring hundreds of new high-paying jobs to Rhode Island over the next several years.
