Atwater–Donnelly to perform in a special concert at the Weaver Library
The National Park System is turning 100 and everyone is invited to join the party! Weaver Library concludes its community celebration with a free lawn concert by the highly acclaimed husband-wife duo Atwater-Donnelly on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 6pm. The couple’s program of traditional American folk songs will offer glimpses of people and places in U.S. history. Funny songs, beautiful songs, and sing-alongs will examine the wonder of who we are, and the natural beauty of our country.
Bring the whole family as Atwater-Donnelly ???s performances appeal to all ages.?? Blending harmonies and playing an array of instruments including guitar, dulcimer, tin whistle, harmonica, banjo, and limberjacks, Atwater-Donnelly also offers a thrilling interpretation of freestyle Appalachian clog dancing.????
This concert is free and open to all.
??Come early to enjoy the Farmers Market and then settle in with your chair and a picnic or order a delicious sandwich from Portu-Galo, East Providence’s favorite food truck, and have a wonderful summer evening.
