Framingham, Massachusetts, August 11, 2016 -??Heritage Chorale??is inviting area singers to join for its new season of concerts, with scholarship memberships available to high school and college singers, based on auditions and proper balance of voice parts.??

??The Chorale will celebrate its 80th Anniversary Season with three ambitious concerts, ???Great Opera Choruses,??? and Mendelssohn???s exciting oratorio telling the story of the prophet ???Elijah,” both with full orchestra and professional soloists, as well as its annual Pops Concert, ???Musical Gems??? from Broadway, movies, pop and popular classics.

The November concert will include blockbuster choruses from the Grand Opera repertoire, such as ???the Toreador Song???, ???The Anvil Chorus???, ???Va Pensiero (Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves)???, as well as solos and duets by professional soloists.

Most of these pieces will be sung in English to enhance the audience???s experience. ??

Under the direction of John Finney, Director of the Boston College Concert Choir and former concertmaster of the Handel & Haydn Society, rehearsals will begin with two open rehearsals for prospective members on September 6th and 13th from 7:30 to 10:00pm at First Parish UUC Church, 24 Vernon Street in Framingham, MA. ??

The Heritage Chorale is comprised of approximately 100 singers from high school to senior citizens from 25 towns throughout Metrowest, Middlesex, Norfolk and Worcester counties. ?? Singers from all voice parts, especially tenors and basses, are invited to attend the open rehearsals, with auditions by appointment to be scheduled afterward. ??
