Panera Bread in Plainville
The 3rd Annual Pal-apalooza, sponsored by Panera Bread in Plainville, will feature the Ryan???s 5K Color Dash & Splash, where adults and children can stroll, walk or run their way to the finish line while being splashed with color, as well as a DJ dance party, photo booth, bouncy house, face painting, cookie decorating and raffle prizes all to fight muscular dystrophy and support a local Plainville family. Free breakfast will be provided courtesy of Panera Catering.??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Hosted by the Plainville Athletic League, the family-focused event will benefit the Ryan???s Hope Foundation and the Ryan???s Hope Medical Fund. Plainville???s Linda and Scott Hastings formed the Ryan???s Hope Foundation in 2003 after their young son, Ryan, was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a progressive muscular disease that strikes approximately one in every 3,500 young boys
The Foundation was formed specifically to speed the rate of scientific research that will lead to a cure for DMD. The Ryan Hastings Medical Fund helps the Hastings family with their medical expenses related to supporting the needs of their son.
