Pawtucket River Bridge Lit Blue in Memory of Fallen Police Officer

PAWTUCKET ??? On Tuesday evening, the award-winning Pawtucket River Bridge was lit in the color blue to honor Patrolman Ryan Bourque, who was killed in a head-on collision early Monday morning as he was on his way home after completing his shift.
???We wanted to let the family of Patrolman Bourque know that our thoughts are with them at this incredibly difficult time,??? said Mayor Donald R. Grebien of the request to light the bridge blue.
The bridge will remain lit in blue until Friday, when it will be lit in red, white and blue for the duration of Memorial Day weekend to honor the memory of the men and women that died serving in our country???s armed forces.
