Saint John’s School Attleboro

CLASS PROJECT TAKES OFF

D SJE flint water

Collecting water for the people of Flint, Michigan began as a Year of Mercy project for the eighth grade class at St. John the Evangelist School in Attleboro.

However, it soon became a parish project when the Religious Education students joined in as well as many of the parishioners.

Originally the goal was to raise 2400 bottles of water but they received over 350 cases of water.

Thanks to the generosity of a Religious Education teacher, free transportation was provided and a few more families in Flint will have good drinking water.

Holding the water are SJE School 8th graders Athan Dafulas and Ciara Cronin along with students from the St. John the Evangelist Religious Education Program.
